Q) What happens when you order a knife from us?
A) First, it’s important that you know that ALL SHIPMENTS TO THE USA AND CANADA ARE FREE OF ANY DUTIES, TAXES OR RED TAPE. All of the products we sell are covered by NAFTA (the North American Free trade Agreement) and flow freely both ways.
FOR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES & CANADA, WE WILL "NOT" UNDERVALUE YOUR PACKAGES. FULL CUSTOMS VALUE AND INSURANCE IS APPLIED TO ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS.
Q) How do you place an order?
A) Please note that all business will be conducted through the website only – or personally with me by email or on the phone. We have a toll free number, 1.866.748.9985, for your convenience. Our office hours are from 09;00am to 06;00pm Monday thru Friday. Weekends and holidays from 10-5. There are two ways to order from TNK: use our secure online order system, or call me personally toll free.
Q) What payment options are available?
A) We have several PAYMENT OPTIONS available at checkout- Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
PAYPAL is available through the shopping cart for USA CUSTOMERS ONLY- no exceptions. We will only ship to a CONFIRMED PAYPAL USA SHIPPING ADDRESS and it must match the shipping address on your order. No exceptions.
Please remember to follow back to the shopping cart to finalize your order once you have submitted your payment through PayPal.
You can also pay by Money Order, EFT, Official Check, Wire Transfer or Western Union.
Q) Questions I am often asked are:
A) “Are all the knives / items you sell BRAND NEW?”
A) Since our beginning in 1997, we only sell BRAND NEW KNIVES (and other items) that we have acquired directly from the source. You will always be the first owner of anything you buy from True North Knives!
B) “Do you sell knives on consignment for others?”
“Do you trade knives?”
B) The answer is a respectful but resounding “No.” All the knives we offer are new. We buy only direct from individual custom knife makers or from production houses. We don’t swap, trade or sell any knives on consignment.
Q) Do you have a Lay-A-Way plan?
A) We do not have a lay-a-way plan and we do not hold knives.
Q) How do you select knives for TNK?
A) Many of the custom knives you see on the website were hand picked by me at knife shows (and I am very picky).
Q) What kind of guarantee do our products carry? (In plain English and with no double-talk to confuse anyone)
A) All the custom knives we offer are covered by each individual knife maker’s warranty against defects in the craftsmanship. All the production knives are covered by the warranty offered by each production house.
Q) Do you off an inspection period?
A) We offer a 3-day inspection period for you to decide of you have bought the right item. As long as the product is in the same condition as when we shipped it, you may return it for a full refund, minus all shipping costs.
Please call or write for an RMA and return instructions before sending a product back to us. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 10%.
DUE TO CURRENT CONDITIONS WE DO NOT SHIP ANY KNIVES TO THE FIVE BOROUGHS OF NEW YORK CITY.
