Frank was the master of the locking back folders for many years until his passing in 2009.
He served almost 20 years as a member of the board of directors of the Knifemakers Guild, and around 10 of those as the president. He was inducted into The Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame in 1997.

This is Frank's Wharncliffe bladed tail lock back. The presentation side end of the rear bolster is depressed to release the blade.

Scales are exhibition grade gold lip mother of pearl. Bolsters, front and back, front and rear are engraved in scroll and 18 carat gold dots by master engraver Julie Warenski of Utah.
