Frank Centofante was renowned for his expertise in crafting locking back folders until his death in 2009. He dedicated nearly two decades to serving on the board of directors of the Knifemakers Guild, including a tenure as president for approximately ten years. His contributions to the field were honored with an induction into The Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame in 1997.
 
The featured knife is a Frank Centofante Wharncliffe bladed back lock folder. 
 
The scales are made of bark fossil, and both the front and rear bolsters are adorned with scroll engravings and 18-carat gold dots, meticulously crafted by the master engraver Julie Warenski from Utah.
